Generating Traffic to Your Site and Promote Yourself on the Internet
Hi, I would like to welcome you!!!
Jeff Faldalen here and I want to share a simple idea that will, not only brand you, but generate more traffic for your business website.
I created this page because I wanted to introduce myself and give you the opportunity to generate traffic to your site, give you some link juice and not only to promote yourself, but I would like to know you better.
This is the easiest way of generating traffic and getting your name out there and directing people back to your site. The sad part is most people don’t do this and take full advantage of it. Not only can you get more exposure, but you can start to build relationships with people who are interested in the same things as you, also known as a niche market.
Now before we go any further, I am talking about leaving comments on blogs that allow you to do so. The ones that don’t, I really don’t think they are interested in anyone’s success but their own. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are people out there spamming and rather then installing plug-ins that protect from spam, they just don’t allow comments.
By the time you are done reading this article you are going to want to run out and find every blog you can related to your niche and start promoting your thoughts on all kinds of subjects. And another benefit of doing this, you get to learn different strategies from other people in the same niche as you.
There is a reason they call this the information age. Never in the history has information been so readily available, so why not comment on it. Like just saying “Thank you for your contribution”. One of the greatest human needs is people need to feel appreciated. People would rather be paid less if they knew they were appreciated. And for myself, it drives me to learn more, so I can provide better content to my readers. I truly want my readers to have success and I know a lot of other people with blogs who want the same.
Tell me a little about who you are:
- tell us who you are
- lets us know more about your business
- what are you passionate about
- ask any question of how I can help you online or personal development
- promote yourself and let others know who you are
Another great way to promote yourself and generate more traffic is on social networks, such as Facebook. I highly recommend you put a facebook page together and join as many niche’s related fan pages as you can. Because the faces of the followers of those fanpage’s rotate and your face will appear. So, be sure to click on the like button on Facebook box to the right. Now here is a great little tip. The more the picture stands out from the rest, the more likely it is going to get clicked. For example, take a close up picture of your head with a white back ground, so it really pops out.
Now this is where it gets really exciting. Be sure to have your own blog, if you don’t there are lots of courses that will teach you how to build one. And one of the plugins you have to install is comment luv. Its free. What is does is at the end of every comment you leave it puts a link to the last post your wrote on your blog. Pretty cool huh?
Here is the steps you want to take to generate qualified traffic to your site. First go to blog pulse or Google alerts and find blogs in your niche, or you can search on Google for needed solutions. See how many comments the blog is getting, check out is Alexa score. Read the article, join the bloggers fan page if they have one, go to the bottom of the page and fill in the information needed to leave a comment. Give your opinion about what you thought about the article. And be truthful, this gives the blogger feed back of what their readers think. I like to throw in some credentials of who I am and I suggest you do the same. Give other people, leaving comments, a reason to click on your link.
Once your comment has loaded then retweet, Digg, ping it and then put it on your Facebook profile. You are sharing great information to your followers. If it is really good, send it to your email list. How you create a following on the internet is to provide great value. And it doesn’t always have to be yours. Be an example, show people you are a committed student of learning and share the resources you find valuable and they will follow you forever
Visit my other post and get more exposure by leaving comments and I always reply with give’s you more attention to the search engings.

Hey Jeff,
Thanks for sharing this informative post…
It does work, here I am.
Absolutely agree 110% that one of the best strategies for traffic generation and personal branding is blogging.
One other way you can leverage your time and generate traffic to your blog is by joining a Blog Syndication community.
Rather than doing the work necessary for effective blog syndication yourself, you’ll have a group of people doing it for you.
It’s all about reciprocity..it’s great to leave comments on other blogs to get those all important backlinks, but you also want traffic and comments to your site.
An organized community or tribe will enable you to get a ton of exposure.
Keep up the great blogging,
Marc

Jeff,
You make some good suggestion but what if there are no blogs that rank higher than my own in my niche.
I have a PR of 2 and I am not finding any with a higher PR. that going to help me pull my site up the search engine.
Hi Don,
Congrats on getting number 2 in PR. Leaving comments isn’t always about PR.
It is also a good way to get exposure. If you have comment luv, every time
you leave a comment on someone’s site is will show a link to your last post
It also is a way to position yourself as the go to expert in that niche
Great question
Always good to see ya,
Jeff

Wonderful post. I only recently discovered the value of blog posting (like this, of course). Blogs by their very nature have to be social, so those that don’t accept comments are “shooting themselves in the foot.” Likwise social networking drives more blog traffic than search engines, in my experience. Thank you for you ideas.

HI Ptaylor98,
Thank you for your comment. I agree with the ones who don’t allow comments are shooting themselves in the foot. How else can know the personality of the people you are reaching?
As for social networking, nothing more powerful. If its good, its viral

I completely agree with the author. Leaving comments on nofollow blogs with your own name will generate more traffic to your website. If you want to brand your website or business, make sure you use your business name as it will help in branding your website. Though people says that nofollow commenting is of no use and it doesn’t pass link juice, I still keep commenting on nofollow sites as it helps me in both the ways generating traffic and branding our business.
Thank you for your comment.

Thanks for the great tips. Not much doubt that they work – here I am on your blog after all.
I have had some success with static sites for a while now – but have recently moved a lot of these over to blogs. It’s a very different approach.
I really enjoy the interaction, both via comments on my blogs and comments on other peoples blogs. It feels a lot less like work than churning out articles every day.
Need to do more with Facebook and Twitter next!

Hi Jeff,
Great post! Using all the strategies you outline here is indeed very powerful, and making sure that the strategies are well integrated in a coherent model is also key. Many online marketers have a blog and social media profiles, and when these are not interconnected and ‘talk to each other’, it creates limited channels for exposure and communication!
It’s about creating a web with all the networking platforms, so that those comments and content syndications go even further!

I’m always pleased to read insights from experts. I got to this blog through a link you posted on one of my fb friends’ wall. I totally agree that blog commenting is a great way to get avalanche of traffic. However, the blogs must be relevant to ones blog to make the backlinks useful and beneficial to both parties.
