We pay the price…but don’t count the cost!!

It’s a another dreaded Monday morning, stuck in traffic and wondering why am I still here? Then your mind begins to wander and you realize you are no where near
where you wanted to be at this point in your life?

How many times have all of us been here?

People get up, brush their teeth and do the usual morning routine. Get into the car, drive the same route, to a job that drains them rather then filling them with passion. Then come home, sit in front of the TV, watching other people live out their dreams, then go to bed, only to repeat it the next day

Friends this is called paying the price of getting by….

There are millions of people doing this day in and day out. Not to mention all of the stress of wondering how you are going to pay the bills, whether or not you are going to even have a job next month. The sad thing is people don’t even realize how much they are paying for a dead end life

But take a look at it from a different point of view…

When we start looking at the price we are paying just to get by, we realize it is costing us our dreams, hopes, aspirations and ultimately our lives. It has been awhile since I wrote my last article, because there have been a lot of things life presented me I didn’t expect. And during this time I learned and experienced things
I will be forever grateful for and will write about in the near future. But that is a later day

Have you ever wondered, how much am I really paying?

Do you realize being in a job you are not happy with is like telling yourself over and over that you don’t deserve better? This is what I call a human doing. Now understand, I have been there and became willing to do whatever it took to bring my dreams to fruition, but I was never satisfied with just existing.

Living is a verb, not a noun…

Here is a great exercise to see where you are in your life. Start looking at the things that drain you and the things that excite you. As the saying goes, do what you love and you will never work another day in your life. This was a huge turning point in my life.

Let me give you a snap shot…

I was a jeweler/designer for 20 years. I really enjoyed doing what I did until towards the end. I remember very clearly the day I realized I was probably going to be a jeweler for the rest of my life. And there was peace knowing where I was headed, But, then some things started changing in my life. Or should I say someone started to intervene.

With out making this a novel, I will say this….

I started looking at the how much it was costing me to pay the price I was paying. My life didn’t have any meaning outside of myself. I wanted a life with purpose and be able to share with others what had been given to me. I was even justifying why I did jewelry by saying I get to be a part of people’s most memorable moments of their lives. Which was true, but I really started doing the above exercise and seen I was suppose to be doing something much bigger. See I got clean from drugs and alcohol January 25, 1990 and started a journey of self-development. Which lead me to know hot to be a life coach today.

When you start valuing your sanity, hang on…..

Ask yourself this, am I where I want to be in life? and be completely honest. Then ask another question, why not? or how can I make it better? And I promise your life will start to change and doors you never could have imagined will begin to open for you

Beings I am writing this on St Patrick’s Day….
